Fall-Inspired Nails & Hauntingly Ghoulish Nail Art for Fall

10. 09. 2021

Fall is full of stylish boots, colorful sweaters, soft scarves, and pumpkin spice everything! While you’re getting ready for the colder weather, why not treat yourself to a relaxing manicure and then get into the vibe of the season with some fall-colored nail polish or trending nail art.

This season is less about the oranges, browns, and red that are reminiscent of the fall season and more about standing out and being a little more adventurous with your nails.

Brown Brilliance. Brown doesn’t have to be boring. If you love the neutrality of brown polish but want to glam it up, why not find a nice taupe or tan and then add some glam with silver or metallic glitter at the base of the cuticle.

Tips of Plaid. There’s a certain timelessness of plaids that are appealing no matter the season. This season, we’re seeing plaid on nails! Indulge in a French manicure then have your nail technician do the tips in plaid. We’re seeing a lot of warm brown tips with thin, intricate plaid lines in either white & black or more fall-inspired colors of dark orange, forest green, or crimson.

Cozy Patchwork. Who says nails have to be boring or follow the rules. Pick a combo of your favorite six fall colors and have your technician give you quilt-like blocks on each nail with a very fine brush. This patterned look is a fun style for your nails while showing off all the colors of the season.

French Tips 2.0. French tips are nice because they work on both long and short nails. The fall version of the classic mani involves using contrasting colors or families of warmer tones on each tip. You can definitely show off your playfulness and character with this look.

Holographic Jewel Tones. The holographic gloss this season is still trending hard but we’re seeing it being used more with the deep jewel tones that are a favorite in the latter part of the year where the royal blues, bronze, emerald green, and deep eggplant are the favorites.

Nail Embellishments. Everyone needs a little glitz and glamor in their lives. As your technician about using a pearl finish in your desired color and then dress up your nails with some gems and embellishments to top off the style. If you want to keep it simple but chic, do a neutral or clear coat with some colored gems.

Halloween Inspired Nails!
Although you may be too old to dress up in cute character costumes or ghoulish haunts, you can still get into the spirit of the holiday with hauntingly cool nails and ghastly nail art.

  • Webs. Ask your nail technician about adding some spiderweb art to your nails to offset that burnt orange or black polish.

  • Candy corn. This yummy manicure is reminiscent of that sweet treat found at Halloween – candy corn. Nails in white, yellow, and orange can be in a flat color or done as an ombre effect that will definitely help your nails stand out!

  • Ghoulish horror. Get your Halloween glam on with some slasher-inspired art. Crimson blood splatter, a killer pumpkin, or even an eyeball can put you in the mood for some good ole fashioned scaring this Halloween.
