How do I prepare for my waxing treatment? There’s little work on your part before coming into Suede Salon & Spa for your treatment.

  • Let your hair grow a bit longer. Ideally, hairs should be at least ¼ inch long for the wax to effectively adhere to your hair for maximum removal. This, of course, varies by the type of waxing you are getting so our esthetician can give you recommendations before your appointment.
  • Avoid creams and lotions on that part of your body to be waxed for at least 12 hours before your appointment.
  • Although waxing is virtually painless, if you have overly sensitive skin, or this is your first time waxing, you may experience a little discomfort and may want to take an over-the-counter pain reliever before coming in.

What happens after my waxing treatment? Depending on the area waxed, you may experience short-term redness that will fade. Otherwise, you can walk out of our salon and engage in all your normal activities!
